KDF process media, known as Kinetic Degradation Fluxion, are high-purity, granulated copper and zinc-based alloys that treat water through a process called redox (oxidation reduction). The Nano H2O KDF uses a combination of copper and zinc, which creates a electro-chemical reaction. Simply put, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine is changed into inert, water-soluble chloride, which is then sent harmlessly through the water supply.
