FIRST STAGE:
KDF process media, known as Kinetic Degradation Fluxion, are
high-purity, granulated copper and zinc-based alloys that treat water
through a process called redox (oxidation reduction). The Nano H2O KDF
uses a combination of copper and zinc, which creates a electro-chemical
reaction. Simply put, electrons are transferred between molecules, and
new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into
harmless components. Free chlorine is changed into inert, water-soluble
chloride, which is then sent harmlessly through the water supply.
Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others,
react to plate out onto the medium's surface, and will be effectively
removed from the water supply your using. One of the many benefits we use the Nano H2O KDF media is that it will enhance performance, reduce maintenance, and extend the life of your Nano H2O filtration system. It will also work to control microorganisms by creating an environment where microorganisms cannot live or exist. It will also interfere with the ability of many other microorganisms to function within this media. Nano H2O KDF media will also provide and extension for the life of the second stage Super-activated carbon in your unit. Nano H2O KDF filtration media should be replaced at least once each year depending on your source water quality. SECOND STAGE: Super-Activated Carbon Filtration... Nano H2O Super-activated carbon filters are the finishing or polishing stage of our units and are the second phase of the purification process. Our Super-Activated carbon effectively removes many chemicals and gases and helps to polish the water, which will give you the great taste, as water should be. This filtration media should be replaced at least once each year depending on your source water quality. |
